Ruqayyah Baderinwa

Ruqayyah is the Research Assistant at the Christopher Kolade Centre for Research in Leadership and Ethics at Lagos Business School. She received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Lagos in 2014. Subsequently, she pursued a master’s degree in Sociology at the same university, graduating with distinctions both times. She also holds a licentiate in Medical and Psychiatry Social Work from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

She taught introductory courses to freshmen undergraduates from 2015 – 2017 as an assistant lecturer of the Department of Sociology, University of Lagos. After which, she moved to the United States; while in the States, Ruqayyah volunteered at the Harvard African Language Program where she supported the teaching of an undergraduate course at Harvard college.

To further her research skills, in 2019, Ruqayyah took a graduate seminar course in social science research at the Harvard Extension School, where she obtained an Institutional Review Board Certification for social and behavioral science research. She has presented some of her research works at academic conferences.

At the centre, she assists in conducting research by conducting literature reviews, data collection, and research writing. She assists in the planning, organizing and developing of webinars that address issues of leadership and ethics in Africa. She also carries out other administrative duties which includes but not limited to social media publicity and website management.
