At the start of the year, The Christopher Kolade Center for Research in Leadership and Ethics in collaboration with Institute for Work and Family Integration (IWFI) explored the impact of digital financial services on the lives of local women. The findings highlight how financial independence alongside access to digital financial tools, empowers women.

The study illuminated a significant correlation: when women have financial autonomy, they actively embrace digital financial services, leading to increased empowerment. On Tuesday 20 Feb. 2024, it hosted a webinar on Digital Financial Services’ impact on women domestic workers in Nigeria. The event, organised in collaboration with the Institute for Work and Family Integration had Dr Okechukwu Amah, Charles Aigbona, Margaret Isebor, and Ruqayyah Baderinwa as speakers. It was attended by policymakers, researchers, and women empowerment advocates.
